How Hope fits
West Virginia's Hope Scholarship, run by the West Virginia Hope Scholarship Board, is $5,435.62 for a full 2026-27 year for any K-12 student. A family applying from Sep 16 to Nov 30, 2026 receives half that for this year.
On the Hope Scholarship participating-school list (Hope Scholarship Board participating-school list, Oct 2026). That means IAWV Elementary School can bill a student's Hope account through the portal. Ask the office for its published tuition and fee schedule and how billing lines up with the quarterly deposits.
IAWV Elementary School also serves preschoolers. Hope starts at kindergarten, so ask about the county's free Universal Pre-K and state child care assistance for the younger years.
Faith schools outside the Christian tradition set their own tuition and aid; ask how they handle Hope billing.
